Focus on enrichment mechanism of lithium, gallium, rare earth elements, cesium, and rubidium in coal deposit.
(2) Migration and concentration of rare trace elements during coal combustion
Focus on change of occurrence of rare trace elements from coal to residues, especially with mode of occurrence of rare elements in fly ash.
(3) Comprehensive development of rare elements in fly ash
Focus on developing extraction process of rare elements from fly ash, emphasizing on comprehensive extraction process of Si-Al-Li-Ga-REEs from fly ash.
(4) Deep processing of clay minerals
Focus on developing the methods of deep processing of clay minerals, such Nano-Kaolinite, Medicine-Kaolinite and so on.
(5) Relationships between the geology and the health of human
Focus on the relationships between kinds of trace elements, such as Se, I, and F, with human lifespans; harmful trace elements, such As, Hg, Cd, and Pb with human health.
(6) Air pollution in coal-combusting-polluted cities
Focus on the haze of coal-combusting-polluted cities in North China, such as Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Handan and so on.
